1) Discover the technologies of days gone by!
This summer camp calls on children aged 6 to 11. And it would offer kids an unparalleled chance to appreciate great inventions in the late 18 century, learn about how science impacts the society and invent new technologies by themselves.
The camp hours are from 9 am to 4 pm on weekdays. And the cost is 200 dollars for a member of Arizona Science Center while non-members have to pay 225 dollars per person. Plus, the registration for members opened on March 21 while non-member registration opened a week later.
To make sure all the kids taking part in this camp can gain wonderful experience and a lifetime of memories, they will be divided into three groups depending on their age:
- Investigators: 6 - 7 years old children
- Jr. Scientists: 8 -9 years old children
- Researchers: 10 - 11 years old children
Remember that the locations and dates of the camp vary a lot. There will be 6 sessions in total for the experience at downtown Phoenix - Arizona Science Center. While experience at Arizona State University Polytechnic and Centennial High School only includes two sessions.
Downtown Phoenix - Arizona Science Center camp would last for over a month, from June 6 through July 22. And every week during this period, from Monday to Friday, would be counted as one session. Therefore, the first session will begin on June 6 and end on June 10, while the second session will be from June 13 to June 17.
Mesa - Arizona State University Polytechnic camp begins on June 13 and ends on June 24. The first Monday to Friday would be the session 1 and the second would be session 2. Peoria - Centennial High School camp will take place between July 11 and July 22. Also, every week, from Monday until Friday, would be a session.

2) BMI @ Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI)
This is a wonderful camp for children between 12 and 14 years old to learn all about the world of biotechnology. Besides, interesting drug discovery is included for kids to perform hands-on experiments. And the most amazing part is that little campers would be encouraged to work in teams and develop new drug under the assistance of BNI staff.
The camp time will begin at 9 am and end at 4 pm on every weekday, from July 11 through July 29. And every week, from Monday to Friday, would be one session. So, there are only two sessions included in this summer camp.
The registration for Arizona Science Center members opened on March 21 while non-members could begin to register since March 28. Price for this camp is 225 dollars per person. However, member of the center can get a $25 discount. If you are interested in BMI @ BNI, call (602)716-2028 or send your email to oakest@axscience.org for further information.
