1) Graphic Designer

A full-time Graphic Designer is needed to perform all aspects of image campaigns, including concept, graphic design and logos used to present programs and services related with Phoenix Art Museum. To qualify the job position, a Bachelor's degree in fine arts, design or related area is needed. 2) Part-Time Gallery Attendants

Part-time gallery attendants manage to provide the highest standards of customer service for museum's patrons and offer a good ambience for the museum's collections, members, visitors, and other staff. These positions will work for 15-25 hours each week, including weekend and evening hours. The pay rate is about $9 per hour. Candidates must be high school graduates and have one year of customer service experience.

Other requirements include:

- Have knowledge of customer service best practices and standards.

- Able to stand for long periods of time.

- Lift 30 pounds without help.

- Able to communicate professionally and courteously with museum members, visitors and staff members.

3) Curator of Latin American Art

A Curator of Latin American Art takes charge of the research, conservation and publication of the showcased collections. The position is also responsible for organizing and securing worldwide significant exhibitions and leading a museum support group for Latin American Art. Masters Degree in Art History and minimum of 3-year curatorial or related experience are basic qualifications for candidates.

4) Assistant Curator for Education

This position aims to help the Director of Education in many areas, including the planning and scheduling of cohesive public programs, internal training and special programs for adult audiences. The position also serves as an educator on exhibition teams sometimes. Candidates must possess Bachelor's degree in art education, museum education or art history. Minimum of three-year museum experience is required.

Part-time Visitor Service Associate takes the overall responsibilities of greeting and helping museum visitors with utmost courtesy and respect, including membership issues, visitors' inquires on exhibitions, events, facilities and collections at the museum. The Phoenix Art Museum also provides internship opportunities to work on projects by museum staff. Interns must be current undergraduate and graduate students or recent graduates. For Undergraduate students, they must have finished at least junior-year status at school. For international applicants, they must be enrolled at a US college or university and have a valid student visa. Four types of interns are offered.

Summer interns work an average of 20 hours each week. But the schedules may vary slightly according to department needs and multiple department interns. The summer internship generally begins in early June and lasts for eight weeks.

Schedules for fall/spring semester and special-project interns may vary to accommodate the internship position and their class schedules. They will work a total of at least 120 hours.

To apply for the internship position, you need to prepare complete application materials, including application form, personal statement, two letters of recommendation and undergraduate or graduate transcripts. Volunteer programs are available for you to get involved with the museum's work. Volunteers play a vital role in the Phoenix Art Museum and can be the museum's heart and soul. Their major duties include:

- Assist in the museum offices.

- Help children and families during special museum family programs or school filed trips.

- Sell museum memberships.

- Greet and help coming visitors from all corners of the world.

- Provide support during special exhibitions and events.
