Phoenix Theatre
The Phoenix theatre is the oldest of its kind in Arizona and is one of the oldest in the United States. Since 1920, it is now a part of Arizona that can never be overlooked. It provides a form of entertainment to the residents here, from the time when TV was not for everybody to afford and up to today when people still go to theatres to be entertained by a different kind of entertainment that goes way back.
Theatre plays like Les Miserables are being shown here and people from Phoenix and those from nearby cities go and watch their favorite theatre shows here. Not only do they cater programs for the main stage but they also have the Cookie Company program which is intended for our youth and for the entire family to enjoy their Phoenix travel.
Other programs include the PT Connections which is usually presented off-site and developed with other organizations. It's both an outreach program as well as an educational program depending on the theme of the project. Other programs include Phoenix Theatre Program and New Works Festival.
If you haven't experienced watching theatre shows before, now is the time that you should go and watch one for yourself to see what you've been missing. This is how our ancestors used to call as entertainment, may it be an Opera show or a great musical such as Les Miserables, you'd surely get goosebumps every minute!
There's no other way far greater in terms of captivating the audience than theatre shows. You see the actors live right in front of you and you could almost feel every emotion of their character unlike with watching a movie.
You could feel them and see their every reaction to scenes and listen to their singing voice live. It's like combining a concert with a movie and what you get is a play. A theatre show combines all the necessary ingredients needed for their audience to have a wonderful time.
The Phoenix Theatre's core values are: To Enlighten, Respect, Nurture, Dream and Evolve. This is the reason why after all these years, PT is still up and thriving with great theatre pieces being played here.
Whether it's a new play or an established one, they make sure the story gets told the best way possible so they could enlighten their audiences while respecting them and nurturing the artists involved while they dream for the future as they evolve to become better.
