Phoenix Zoo Discount Tickets Information

Opened in 1962, the Phoenix Zoo is the largest non-profit zoo throughout the nation, receiving no federal or state funding. Covering an area of 125 acres, the zoo is divided into four trails: the Children's Trail, Tropics Trail, Africa Trail and Arizona Trail. More than 1,300 animals are on display at the zoo.

The Phoenix Zoo is not just an ordinary zoo. It's a wonderful place for the whole family to spend an enjoyable day. Many different programs are available for family tours. Bring your kids to the zoo on a leisure weekend and fully enjoy the precious family time.

Of course, you may be concerned with the admission tickets. You can completely rest assured that Phoenix Zoo does not have pricy admission fees. Adult ticket fare is $19 and children between 3 and 12 only pay $9. Children less than 3 years old are admitted to the zoo for free. Savvy visitors will not pay the full price. Instead, you can save on your admission with available discounts.

Seniors and students can receive discounted admission. The admission for seniors is $13, saving $6 off the general admission. Students aged 13 and over need to pay $15.

AAA Members can save $2 on regular zoo admission. Admission tickets for adults, children and seniors are all included. But the discount is only valid for up to 6 people when paid by AAA card holders. Not valid for special events either. The discount cannot be used together with any other special offer.

Become a member and enjoy free admission to the Phoenix Zoo. Zoo members can have unlimited free daytime admission to the zoo for one full year. Members to Phoenix Zoo can also enjoy free or discounted admission to more than 160 zoos and aquariums worldwide, including Los Angeles Zoo, Toronto Zoo and many others.

In addition to admission benefits, various discount benefits are offered for members of Phoenix Zoo. You can have 10% off merchandise and souvenirs at gift stores in the zoo. Discounts are also available for Safari Train Passes, Giraffe Encounter, Stingray Bay and other programs and camps.

Visiting with a group can also enjoy discount group rates. To qualify the group rate criteria, a minimum of 15 paying individuals, including children and adults, is needed. And you must be organized, school, youth group or education-centered group and maintain a minimum of 1 adult to every 10 students. A discounted educational rate is offered for all youth-oriented groups of $4 for each person. Reservations are required for group visits. Active military and veterans can enjoy discounted admission of $4. You must present your valid military ID to get the discounts and the offer cannot be combined with any other discount. The Phoenix Zoo offered the same discount for everyone in the party of military personnel in honor of Veteran's Day in the last year on November 11.
