Known as the largest non-profit zoo of the United States, the Phoenix Zoo opened to the public in 1962. Today, it becomes home to more than 1,300 animals. Job Duties:

- Organize animal exhibitions and provide outstanding customer service

- Responsible for employee recruitment, scheduling and payroll

- Provide training and coaching to encourage and improve employee

- Give collection nutritional husbandry and keep animals in great status

Qualifications:

- College degree in life science or general equivalent diploma

- Four years of experience in animal husbandry or related experience

- At least 3 years of great management experience

- Wonderful leadership and organization skills

- Excellent skills to manage and maintain animals

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather condition

2) Animal Curator

It is also one of the full-time job opportunities offered by the Living Collections and Animal Care Department. The person will be in charge of a designated area in the zoo and expected to work with the director actively.

Job Duties:

- Provide excellent customer services and collection husbandry

- Supervise assigned animals and a group of staff

- Assist with creating zoo policies and regulations

- Oversight subordinates' performances and report great as well as incorrect performance

- Take good care of designated animals and keep them in wonderful status

- Evaluate existing facilities and make contribution to capital improvement

- Help the director with short-term planning, mini repair and zoo development and so on

- Responsible for recruitment and training programs

Qualifications:

- Outstanding customer service skills and great work experience

- At least five years of management experience in zoos

- Life science bachelor degree or general equivalent diploma

- Excellent leadership and great communication skills

- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and pass annual TB tests

- A valid driver license is required

3) Park Ranger - Graveyard Relief Shift

This position would be directed by the Chief Park Ranger from the Park Ranger Department. It's a full-time job and the salary is 9.82 dollars per hour. The person is required to guarantee the safe and well-being of visitors, animals and designated amenities.

Job Duties:

- Patrol the zoo regularly and ensure the security of visitors, staff and zoo amenities

- Help visitors when needed and contribute to positive zoo experience

- Deal with currency and keep records as required

- Offer appropriate first aid or apply escaped animal procedures in the event of emergency and accident

- In charge of lost and found, locate missing people at the zoo and maintain related records

- Control zoo traffic and manage parking lots and other overflow parking area in the neighborhood

Qualifications:

- At least one year of graveyard management experience

- High school diploma or general equivalent diploma

- Basic computer knowledge and great keyboarding skill

- Valid driver license and standard first aid and CPR certificate

- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, use firearms and pass annual TB tests

- Willingness to work flexible schedule and take Hepatitis B inoculation

- One or two years of security experience would be preferred
