
Overview of Phoenix art museum
A nick name given to the Phoenix art museum is PAM and holds itself as the largest primary institution representing visual art in the whole of Southwest US. The collections at the museum date back to early 1900s. The first painting at the museum was bought in 1915 and ten years later, the Phoenix Fine Arts association was formed. In 1936 this became the Phoenix Art center and was later christened as Phoenix art Museum.
The museum is open on all days except major holidays, Mondays and Tuesdays. The start time is 10 am except on Sundays, while the closing time varies on different days. Admission cost is $10 per adult with children and senior citizens getting small discounts. Admission is free between 3 and 9 pm on Wednesdays and 6 and 10 pm on the first Friday each month.
