Information for Waterworld Safari Phoenix
The Waterworld Safari Phoenix closed after its 2008 season. The park under a new management is scheduled to reopen in June 2009 with the new name 'Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix'. Wet 'n' Wild is located in Pinnacle Peak Road, at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Pinnacle Park.
Wet 'n' Wild Water Park Phoenix is spread on 25 acres and features the world's first dueling water coaster called Maximum Velocity, in which the riders race on tracks side by side. Other thrill rides of the water park include a bowl ride, a funnel ride, Serpentine Complex and Desert Racers. The Desert Racers is a mat racing slide with six lanes. For those who prefer slightly toned down thrills, the park has a family raft ride called the Raging Rivers.
The park also offers Cactus Cooler which is a 1600 feet long lazy river, and a large wave pool called Monsoon Bay for those with weaker hearts. For the kids, there is Soak 'em Sprayground, which is a play pool with small slides, and Desert Palms Playground, a play area that is rock themed, with waterfalls, 5 kiddie slides and a tipping bucket.
Discounts are available at the Wet 'n' Wild Water Park for children between the ages 3 to 11 and seniors of 60 years and above. Children aged 2 and under are free. For purchase of advance online tickets and info about additional discounts you can check the Wet 'n' Wild website.
